Where are you located?
Our physical address is 1902 Cherry St., Erie, PA 16502. We are located in creative community that is Grounded Print & Paper Shop. That property has two buildings: a "front" building on the corner that reads "Grounded" in green paint on the side AND a two-story warehouse. Stitches of Erie is located on the first floor of that warehouse. Enter the warehouse through the last warehouse door on the left that is a peachy orange. A Stitches of Erie sign hangs over the doorway. We're inside on your left! Watch this (slightly snarky) video as well (we get this question a lot and believe me - we are trying to help you find us!).
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have a large fenced in parking lot. The entrance to the lot is on Cherry St. and there is a large Stitches of Erie banner on the fence to welcome you in.
When are you open?
Current shop hours: Thursdays 3pm-7pm | Fridays 12pm-5pm | Saturday 11am-3pm | Sunday 9am-1pm | Monday-Wednesday closed
We are always open online at stitchesoferie.com. Any scheduling changes will be announced as soon as we know them on social media, via our newsletter, and with a note on the exterior shop door.
Is Stitches of Erie accessible?
Yes. The main entry door for Stitches is level with the ground though there is a slight rise and lip at the second doorway some wheelchairs may find cumbersome. But don't worry! The completely flat and fully accessible entrance to the warehouse is two doors over and we are happy to open it for you. Once inside, the shop is on the first floor and staff are happy to help you reach anything on shelves higher up.
Note: While Stitches of Erie is accessible, there is no elevator to the other second floor studios nor the Liminal Space Gallery.

stitchesoferie@gmail.com. This is by far the fastest way to get a reply as this email is monitored even when the shop isn't open and we strive to reply within 2-3 business days.
What's your phone number?
814-480-0307. HOWEVER, it is only answered when the shop is open and when we are not with an in-person customer. Email is by far the best way to get a prompt answer.
Are you on social media?
Yes! We are on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Do you have a newsletter?
Yes. It comes out every week with brief highlights about upcoming programs, new inventory, or other community news.
Do you ship?
Yes, we ship domestically. Please do not let proximity to Erie, PA deter you from shopping with us online. All orders over $60 get free shipping.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. They are digital gift cards sent to your email. We do not currently have physical gift cards.
What kind of products do you have?
We carry supplies for knitting, crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, needle felting, and spinning. This includes yarn, needles, hooks, notions (scissors, stitch markers, needle minders, threaders, drop spindles, measuring tools, etc.), embroidery floss, Aida fabric, fiber batts and roving, and pattern books. We also carry kits for cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, and needle felting which make great beginner projects or gifts.
Some of our most popular brands carried include Kelbourne Woolens, Malabrigo, Knitting for Olive, Subversive Cross Stitch, Katrinkles, Twice Sheared Sheep, addi, ChiaoGoo, Clover, and DMC.
We proudly carry regionally made items from businesses such as Slow Formations (fiber batts, drop spindles, hand-spun yarn; Erie, PA), Tupelo Acres (hand dyed fiber from local alpaca and sheep, needle felting fiber, needles, and charcoal blocks; Spartansburg, PA), Kelsey's Creations (handmade hypoallergenic earrings and Stitches-exclusive handmade stitch markers; Erie, PA), and Kaylee Smith (hand-painted needlepoint kits; Altoona, PA).

Do you make special orders?
Happily, yes! Special orders require a 50% deposit at time of ordering with the balance due upon the product's arrival.
Do you offer classes?
Yes! We offer two styles of instructional programs: Workshops and classes. Workshops are typically 2-3 hour one-time events where you're either learning the basics of a particular craft (ex: Beginner Crochet, Beginner Cross Stitch) or making a specific project together after knowing the basics (ex: Crochet Pumpkin, Needlepoint Baubles). Classes are geared more toward skill building over multiple sessions (ex: Learn to Knit Socks) and usually require basic knowledge of the craft.
Do you have classes for kids?
Yes, with three caveats. The first is that for any program where minors are present, a responsible adult must stay on property for the duration of the program. The second is that the youngest we find group classes the most feasible is 10/tween ages. If you have a younger kiddo who might want to learn a yarn or needlecraft, we would recommend a private lesson. The third is that we would prefer to schedule in consultation with those interested to ensure a class can make. Do you have a rewards program?
Absolutely! It's called the Fiber Friends Program and rewards you for purchases, following on social media, inviting friends to the program, leaving reviews, etc. Read more about the program here.
Do you accept returns?
If there is ever an issue with an item you receive from Stitches of Erie, please let us know within 14 days of purchase. We are happy when you're happy. The issue at hand and the item in question will determine if we can exchange the item, or if a store credit is a better option. Product refunds will be granted at owner discretion and only in the rarest of circumstances. For programs, workshops, classes, we know life can happen and you may not be able to attend something you had hoped to. If that happens, you can request a store credit for your registration fee. Can we hang out and craft at Stitches?
Yes, during Stitching Hours. Every Thursday, 5:30-7pm, we utilize one of the tables in Grounded Print & Paper Shop's space to hang out, craft, chat, and make new fiber friends. This is a free weekly event and no registration is required. The second Saturday of each month, we do an off-site Stitching Hour and those are announced closer to time on our social media sites and in our newsletter. Past locations included Werner Books and Purrista Cat Cafe.
If you aren't local or, just don't want to leave home, join us on the second and fourth Mondays from 7-8pm eastern for Virtual Stitching Hours. These do require an RSVP in order to be sent the Zoom link, so register here (still free!).
Can I book a crafty event for my workplace/friends/family/sorority/birthday/etc.?
Yes, please do! We would be thrilled to be part of your group event. Whether a small or large group, whether years of experience with a craft or a bunch of brand new beginners, we'd be happy to host you and bring a bit of fun creative energy to your event.
